Meet Leif Schaffner.
Leif Schaffner is a recording engineer, mixer, musician, and owner of Southbound Sound Company, a professional recording studio built for artists who care about real performances, honest tones, and records that feel alive.
Originally from West Texas, Leif grew up around music, hard work, and small-town grit. After years playing guitar in bands, touring, writing songs, and chasing the dream in Austin, he earned a degree in Recording Arts and found his real calling on the other side of the glass: helping artists capture the sound they hear in their heads and turn it into a finished record.
Today he records, mixes, and masters for artists across the Gulf Coast from his studio in Mobile, AL. Whether you are a solo artist, a band, or a songwriter chasing a first single, the goal stays the same: great sound, professional quality, and a smooth creative process.
